“ At Lavar we only use the premium hard wax to treat your sensitive areas with our professional technique! Our hard wax is gentler which is less painful, and it can grab hair as short as 1mm in length.”

Why Brazilian Waxing?

  • It’s hygienic. Pubic hair retains germs that can cause bad odors
  • It gives you freedom. No worry about how small or how low your swimsuit can be.
  • It’s sensual. You just feel cleaner and more confiden after having a Brazilian Wax.
  • It’s cheap. When you consider how long it last and the time and cost of shaving.
  • It’ does‘t take long. In only takes about 15-30 minutes depending on area.
  • The discomfort is not as bad as you may think. Certainly, the first time may be a shocker but becomes more tolerable the more frequent your visit.

Does Brazilian Wax hurt?
The hair is being removed from the follicle, there will be a certain amount of discomfort associated with the service. But it depends on different people pain threshold, other factors which can influence your discomfort and sensitivity are previous shaving history, menstrual cycle, medication and fatigue.

Who are not suitable to have Waxing?
We are not recommend if people have the following symptoms:

  • If you wax before and during your period, not only you are more tender, hormones make hair more coarse, making it possible to break rather than pull out. Waxing is better if not within 2 days before or after your period.
  • After suntan or spray tan/solarium treatment
  • With very sensitive skins (please check your doctor opinion), skin rashes, sunburns, wounds, open skin
  • Users of Retin-A, Renova, Differin or Accutane, as these medications tend to weaken the skin and tearing may occur when wax is removed. It is advisable to refrain from waxing for three months after completing the course of medication.

How long should my hair be before getting waxed?
Approximately a 2-10mm or longer for best results.

Will I get ingrown hair?
Ingrown hair may occur depending on each individual, using ingrown hair serum and triple action post depilatory lotion can prevent and treat ingrown hairs.

I have shaved all my life and I am nervous about changing to waxing, why should I change? What is the benefit of waxing?
There is no need to be nervous, when waxing is done right there is very little pain. Waxing has many benefits over shaving; for example it lasts much longer. Waxing is also better for your skin as it works as a gentle exfoliation to remove dead skin cells which leaves your skin much softer. With regular waxing most find the hairs become thinner, lighter and sparser after a few treatments. And you also get to avoid those nasty razor cuts
